Validity and Renewal
An RVP is valid for up to 1 year, directly tied to your basis for applying (for example, the length of your employment contract). If your contract runs 6 months, your RVP will be issued for 6 months. Renewal requires re-confirming your basis — migration authorities check not just documents, but actual activity (real work, business, or residence).
Penalties for late RVP processing or overstaying: a warning for the first 3 days of delay, a fine of 10 MCI for a delay of more than 3 but up to 5 days, 15 MCI for more than 5 but up to 10 days, and 25 MCI or administrative deportation for more than 10 days.
